Treatment
At River Psychology treatment practices are based on evidence-based therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness practices.
Psychological assessment, treatment and consultation is provided by Registered Clinical Psychologist DR. JACKIE WALKER.
Cognitive-behavioural consultation and treatment for adults, couples, children and organizations are offered. Please refer to each Psychologist’s page to review the services offered.
Treatment Areas
Dr. Jackie Walker provides mainly cognitive-behavioral therapy services to assist clients with various types of concerns and difficulties, including depression, stress and anxiety disorders, sexual functioning concerns, interpersonal/couple relationship issues, grief, coping with chronic pain and health issues, eating and weight management concerns, and assertiveness.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Your confidentiality is protected by ethical and legal guidelines related to confidentiality. This means that all information remains completely confidential except under certain circumstances that will be explained to you at the first session.
INSURANCE COVERAGE
Private Psychological Services may be covered by private insurance plans (e.g., Manulife, Blue Cross, Great West Life). Please check with your insurance provider regarding the amount of your coverage and whether you require a physician recommendation in order to claim the fees associated with Clinical Psychologists.
FEES
Fees will be discussed with you at your initial contact. They are assessed per 50 minute session and are payable at the time that services are provided. You will be provided with a receipt, which, if applicable, can be forwarded to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
